Case study – A zebra named Inyanda

The resident population of zebras, ostriches, impala and blue wildebeest at Matla Coal was expanded during the year by one – a zebra. When the young zebra regularly wandered across with the cows from a neighbouring farm onto Inyanda’s property, the team secured the necessary permits and permissions, and successfully darted and moved her to a new home at Matla with her own kind, where she is now happily settled and fondly known as Inyanda.
