During the financial year 1 April 2007 to 31 March 2008, the CSI budget for the programme amounted to R11,9 million (2007: R5 million); R5,8 million for the Eskom18-schools programme and R 6,1 million for the winter school programme. A total of R2,1 million and R6,1 million was spent on these programmes respectively.

During the period under review, a total of 11 641 learners (2007:10 985) from 18 secondary schools participated in these two programmes. A total of 309 (2007: 287) of these are differently-abled learners.
